Two days of learning robotics by doing. No coding, electronics or robotics experience is needed — facilitators adapt the challenges to the group.

  2. Assemble a robot and discover basic programming
  3. Test it, troubleshoot problems and improve the build
  4. Work together on practical robotics challenges
  5. Demonstrate what you have built

Before you take part

Equipment and preparation

The 40 reusable kits serve both workshops, then stay with Giiyo Tech for STEM clubs, follow-up bootcamps and future workshops. Nothing goes home. No personal laptop is required unless the team tells you otherwise.

Schedule and confirmation

Two workshops in Cameroon in the month of November, two days each. Each one runs with a host school, which brings its group of participants together and gives them the practical details.

At least 15 fully sponsored places are reserved for girls in each workshop. Further sponsored places depend on how much is raised.

We are raising US$5,000 for both workshops.

US$2,400 buys 40 reusable robotics kits at about US$60 a kit — enough to equip at least 40 young people across the two workshops. The remaining US$2,600 covers facilitation, transport, learning materials, logistics and other delivery costs.
